Capacity List

Trumpf 3030

Our flagship machine, a Trumpf 3030 3kW Fibre Laser cutter. An advancement from the older CO2 version laser cutting machines, which use mirrors to deliver the laser beam from the generator to the cutting head, our laser uses fibre cables to deliver the laser beam much more efficiently. This means that Fibre lasers can use up to a third less power than CO2 Lasers, allowing smaller kW fibre lasers to match larger kW CO2 lasers for cutting capability.

Fibre lasers are also much quicker at cutting thinner materials, with speeds of up to 3 times that of the CO2 version lasers.

Our laser is also fully equipped with an automated loading and unloading unit. This allows us to maximise production time and limit downtime by allowing the machine to continue cutting whilst sheets that have already been cut are being unloaded, and the next new sheet for cutting is being loaded. This system also enables us to work “lights out” increasing our cutting capacity.”

CNC Bending

1 x AMADA HFE8025 80 TONNE 2.5MTR CNC PRESS BRAKE

1 x TRUMPF 3066 66 TONNE 2MTR CNC PRESS BRAKE

3 x COASTONE C9 24 TONNE 850MM ELECTRIC CNC PRESS BRAKE

We have 5 x CNC controlled Press brakes for a variety of different bending applications. They are capable of bending all types of metal. The bending tonnage of each machine determines the maximum length of bend and thickness of material we can form so please contact us to discuss your bending requirements and we would be happy to advise.

Other Capabilities

2 x SERIES 4 PEMSERTERS – These machines allow us to press-fit a wide variety of clinch type fasteners, including threaded studs, nuts, standoffs and hankbushes.

2 x SPOTWELDING MACHINES – Including a 30KVA Meritus Micro 8 machine. Spotwelding is a method used to join two flat pieces of metal together. We have the capability to spotweld up to 6mm overall (2 x 3mm pieces)

5 x MIG WELDING PLANTS – Including a Fronius 320i. For welding a variety of different metals such as Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Zintec and Aluminium. Generally the quickest method of welding we offer.

6 x TIG WELDING PLANTS – Including x2 Fronius MW3000. For welding a variety of different metals such as Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Zintec and Aluminium. Generally a slower method of welding than MIG but much neater and requires less cleaning afterwards.

RIVCLINCH – As a cleaner alternative to spotwelding for joining flat sections together, this fixing method is very useful for joining coated steels such as Galvanised. Often used in the automotive industry, with the correct tooling we can join thickness up to 4mm overall (2 x 2mm pieces)

3 x DRILLING STATIONS – Can also be used for countersinking and tapping operations.

1 x CIRCULAR SAW – For cutting Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium sections such as Box Section, Tubes and Flats. Blade diameter of 250mm allows cutting of sections up to 75mm.

2 x 1250mm MECHANICAL ROLLERS – For rolling various materials up to 3mm thick.

RADAN & TRUTOPS DRAFTING AND PROGRAMMING SYSTEMS – Allows us to take drawing files such as .dxf and .dwg files and import direct into our programming systems, to enable us to cut profiles exactly as drawn. We also offer a draft service for customers who are unable to supply the electronic versions of their requirements. Please contact us to see if we can help.
